We’re Joe and Melissa Claire, the owners of this historic space in Downtown Hondo, Texas. Our journey into hospitality began in 2021 with the opening of Chateau Claire Boutique Bed & Breakfast, a quiet, welcoming place for travelers to stay.

Over the years, we found ourselves naturally drawn to bringing people together, whether through family dinners, celebrations with friends, or hosting meaningful moments for others. That love for connection inspired us to create a place where people could experience the joy, warmth, and memories that come from celebrating life’s special occasions together.

Our next dream was to create a space for larger celebrations, and that dream became The Venue by Chateau Claire. We wanted a place where weddings, quinceañeras, family reunions, and all kinds of celebrations could feel elegant, timeless, and unforgettable.
